Job Summary

The Associate Budget Analyst will work under the general direction of the Fiscal and Legislative Services, Staff Services Manager II, to prepare baseline budgets, budget revisions, and review, analyze, evaluate, and process budget change proposals. The successful candidate will also reconcile appropriations by source of funding, prepare and process transfer of budget allotments, provide budget information, instruction, and assistance to department staff, and make recommendations on budget matters to higher-level department management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare baseline budgets and budget revisions
  • Review, analyze, evaluate, and process budget change proposals
  • Reconcile appropriations by source of funding
  • Prepare and process transfer of budget allotments
  • Provide budget information, instruction, and assistance to department staff
