Principal Program Budget Analyst II

Job Description and Duties
The Department of Finance is seeking a highly skilled Principal Program Budget Analyst II to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for supervising the development, analysis, review, and formulation of recommendations regarding budgetary, fiscal, and policy matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the development, analysis, review, and formulation of recommendations regarding budgetary, fiscal, and policy matters.
- Serve as Finance's primary contact with one or more departments.
- Develop expert fiscal and program knowledge in assigned area.
- Identify policy and program issues on which program analysis projects should be initiated.
- Work with the department(s) to which assigned in preparation of the Governor's Budget.
- Advise the Director of Finance and Governor's Office on fiscal and policy decisions relating to programs and legislation.
- Have final authority to approve a wide range of financial documents that require Finance approval.
- Represent Finance at legislative hearings.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
- Five years of experience in budget analysis, financial management, or related field.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
