Job Title: Radiation Effects Engineer

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Radiation Effects Engineer to join our team. As a Radiation Effects Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing complex electronic products for space systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform radiation effects analysis and shielding analysis for satellite payload systems
  • Develop test plans and test reports for radiation testing of electronic components
  • Use radiation analysis tools such as NOVICE, SPENVIS, and CREME96 to predict radiation effects
  • Analyze radiation effects on material degradation and propose mitigations
  • Interface with multiple disciplines to ensure compliance with radiation requirements
  • Prepare and present technical reports for internal and external customers
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Physics, or closely related technical discipline
  • 12 years of experience in radiation effects design and analysis
  • Knowledge of physics associated with radiation effects in semiconductor devices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • U.S. Citizenship with active or current Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
