Electromagnetic Environmental Effects Engineer

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) engineer to join our team. As an E3 engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and analyzing complex electronic products for space systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience with E3 design and analysis. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of electromagnetic compatibility and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop E3 solutions for space systems
  • Analyze and test E3 performance of electronic products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure E3 compliance
  • Develop and maintain E3 design guidelines and standards

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 12 years of experience in E3 design and analysis
  • Working knowledge of MIL-STD 461, MIL-STD 464, and NASA-GEVS-7000
  • Experience with lab test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and generators
  • U.S. Citizenship and current or active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialty in Electromagnetics
  • Experience with defense and aerospace industry practices
  • Design experience with EMI filters and circuit layout
  • Working knowledge of modeling and simulation software
