Job Overview

Forest Properties Management, Inc. is in search of a skilled Facilities Maintenance Lead to oversee operations at our multifamily apartment community. The selected candidate will manage a dedicated team, coordinate projects, and handle both administrative responsibilities and hands-on maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise work orders and projects, schedule necessary vendors and contractors for renovations; procure essential materials and equipment; manage team assignments.
  • Leverage technology such as internet, tablets, and mobile devices to communicate, place orders, view and reassign work orders, and document tasks.
  • Conduct repairs as required in areas including appliances, carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all service requests.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with residents, management, team members, vendors, and contractors.
  • Be available for a rotational on-call schedule, including overtime and weekends as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years in a supervisory role with strong communication, delegation, and project management skills (including reading, writing, math, and basic technology proficiency).
  • At least 5 years of experience in carpentry, flooring, plumbing, electrical work, or painting. HVAC or appliance repair experience is a plus.
  • Physical capability to lift 75 lbs. or more and engage in activities such as walking, crouching, bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
  • Possession of personal tools and reliable transportation is required.
  • Eligibility to work in the USA and provide proof upon hiring.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. We offer a supportive work environment and a competitive benefits package that includes medical and dental insurance, fully-paid life insurance, 401(k), and paid time off (vacation, sick leave, holidays). Eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus may also be available.
