We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Experience Coordinator to join our team at the University of Florida Health. As a key member of our hospital staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients and families receive exceptional care and support.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Facilitate a welcoming and supportive environment for patients and families in pediatric and mother/baby inpatient units.
- Function as a liaison between patients, families, visitors, and staff to facilitate the highest level of patient satisfaction.
- Orient and support patients/families regarding hospital environment, amenities, and resources.
- Facilitate family/visitor access to pediatric units to maintain a safe environment.
- Provide leadership and facilitate community visits and events to the benefit of patients/families and to promote satisfaction of community members/volunteers.
- Collaborate with Child Life staff and volunteers to maximize patient/family access to recreational activities.
- Responsible for enhancing unit environment while meeting regulatory requirements and maintaining survey readiness.
- Proactively facilitate communication and problem resolution between unit staff, other departments, and the patient/family.
**Requirements:**
- High School graduate or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- One year of clerical/customer service experience required; acute care setting preferred.
- Demonstrated computer experience.
- Proficiency in reading and writing.
- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated excellence in public contact skills (respect for others, courteous, tactfulness).
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and display initiative.
- Dependability and ability to accept direction and interact with others as a team member essential.
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to work independently.
