Washington Adventist University is seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Fundamentals of General, Organic and Biochemistry courses to nursing majors and non-science students.
Key Responsibilities- Teach Fundamentals of General, Organic and Biochemistry lectures and associated laboratory courses.
- Develop and implement course content using lectures, labs, demonstrations, class discussion, and other educational delivery methods.
- Hold regular office hours to engage with students and provide support.
- Prepare course outlines, syllabi, and lesson plans, and select textbooks and teaching aids.
- Utilize a Learning Management System (LMS) to provide students with notes, grades, and feedback.
- Supervise the use and maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field from an accredited university.
- Previous college or university teaching experience is preferred.
- Ability to integrate technology into course delivery and apply practical life applications.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse student populations.
- Knowledge of and commitment to the university's philosophy and mission.
