Job Summary

Haven Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Outpatient Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our clinical services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Intake and Scheduling: Process referrals, conduct initial intake screenings, and schedule patients for clinical assessments and group therapy sessions.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify patient benefits, complete prior authorizations, and track collections and referrals.
  • Documentation and Charting: Assist in creating and discharging patient charts, reconciling progress notes, and maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, family members, and external entities, while maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor.
  • Administrative Functions: Manage front desk operations, including answering phones, faxing, scanning, and general computer usage, as well as scheduling appointments and managing supplies.
Requirements
  • Excellent Organization and Communication Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and communicate effectively with patients, staff, and external entities.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as experience with electronic medical records and other clinical software.
  • Insurance Verification Experience: Knowledge of insurance verification processes and ability to navigate complex insurance systems.
  • Psychiatric Services Experience: Previous experience working in a psychiatric or behavioral healthcare setting is a plus.
