POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The Sales Associate plays a crucial role in assisting Management to foster a customer-centric and product-oriented sales culture, ensuring that our values and guiding principles are integral to all store operations, which includes delivering an exceptional customer experience and maximizing profitability.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive for Results

  • Achieves company sales targets by employing effective sales techniques and sharing product knowledge with customers; recommends merchandise selections or assists in locating items based on customer preferences.
  • Keeps abreast of current sales and promotions; upholds pricing and visual standards.
  • Maintains high standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other tasks as directed by Management.
  • Engages in visual directives, including monthly store setups and zone maintenance.
Customer Experience

  • Exemplifies and promotes the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles and standards, ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience.
  • Addresses customer concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Facilitates a quick and efficient checkout experience, staying informed on policies regarding payments, coupon acceptance, returns, exchanges, security practices, and other relevant operations.
  • Reinforces purchasing decisions at the register and meets add-on sales goals, including gift card promotions.
  • Enrolls clients in the rewards program.
  • Cultivates and maintains a loyal customer base through personalized service and wardrobe consultations.
  • Stays informed about current product fit and style offerings both in-store and online.
  • Maintains consistent communication with clients through a customer book.
Operational Excellence

  • Aids in replenishment activities to ensure the store remains well-stocked and inviting.
  • Assists with locating fulfillment tasks.
  • Contributes to visual directives, including floor sets, window displays, visual presentations, and signage placement as directed.
  • Helps maintain boutique cleanliness and organization.
Teamwork and Growth

  • Encourages an inclusive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Actively seeks personal development opportunities and welcomes constructive feedback.
Other duties as assigned.

This position may be available across multiple brands, with some responsibilities varying by brand.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous retail or sales experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service abilities.
  • Capable of learning or adapting to technology provided by the company.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication with customers, associates, and management.
  • Regular attendance is essential to ensure adequate coverage for company objectives. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Continuous walking/standing throughout an 8-hour shift.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. - 1-33% of an 8-hour shift.
  • Frequent climbing - 34%-66% of an 8-hour shift.
