Cardiac Cath Lab Rad Tech Job Description

HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland is seeking a skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a Cardiac Cath Lab Rad Tech, you will be responsible for assisting with daily operational and business needs of the lab, performing direct patient care within the scope of your licensure, and coordinating communication between all involved modalities in daily practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the daily operational and business needs of the lab
  • Perform direct patient care within the scope of your licensure
  • Coordinate communication between all involved modalities in daily practice
  • Pre-screen patients and/or families to augment the procedural process by acquiring pertinent information
  • Recognize abnormal and/or critical screening values
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment
  • Educate patients and families
  • Involved in performance improvement activities to ensure continuous quality improvement

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Registered Radiology Technology
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT)
  • BCLS required
  • Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms is required
  • Previous Cardiac Cath and/or Special Procedures training is preferred
  • Cardiovascular specialist, RT (CV), registration is required within 2 years for full-time employment
