Position Overview

AMS Staffing, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Desktop Support Technician to provide exceptional technical assistance and support to our clients. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity offering a competitive salary range of $95,000 - $105,000 along with comprehensive benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit flexibility in working hours, including potential overtime as needed.
  • Accurately document problem descriptions and resolutions in the incident management system for all support requests.
  • Address escalated issues from the Level 1 support team via phone.
  • Conduct on-site visits to troubleshoot and resolve user issues directly.
  • Perform scheduled system tests and manage change control testing as required.
  • Diagnose and resolve email delivery issues utilizing the ProofPoint console.
  • Administer mobile devices and MiFi connections as necessary.
  • Occasionally assist with offsite litigation setups and partner home visits.
  • Engage in assigned training programs to enhance skills.
  • Demonstrate strong technical writing abilities by creating documentation, SOPs, and scripts.
  • Be prepared to cover additional shifts, including overnight and weekend work, as needed.
  • Anticipate daily overtime requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Prior helpdesk experience, ideally within a legal environment.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills coupled with excellent customer service capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows OS 10/11 and Microsoft Office O365.
  • Familiarity with document management systems, preferably NetDocs.
  • Experience troubleshooting remote access issues, including RSA Administration, VPN, and Citrix.
  • Proficient in Active Directory and Entra Administration.
  • Support for mobile devices, including firm-issued iPhones and BlackBerry Work for Enterprise.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic networking issues and possess knowledge of IP and server administration.
  • Competence in diagnosing hardware and cabling problems.
  • Capability to thrive in a high-pressure environment while managing urgent requests and multitasking effectively.
  • Some experience in network operations is preferred.
  • Experience in an automated call distribution (ACD) environment is a plus.
