Position Overview: The Business Intelligence Platform Administrator plays a crucial role in the management and enhancement of our corporate business intelligence systems.

Key Responsibilities: This role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders and IT professionals to create efficient and scalable BI and data delivery systems.

Core Duties: As part of the data platform team, you will oversee the systems that deliver essential data to the organization.


  • Ensure platforms uphold architectural standards and maintain high availability.
  • Gain insights into business processes across departments such as Sales, Finance, and HR to provide tailored support.
  • Facilitate the onboarding of new systems and applications.
  • Initiate and participate in security assessments for networks and applications.
  • Enhance platform performance by devising and implementing improved processes.
  • Develop complex logical models and present them in an accessible manner for users.
  • Support end users during upgrade testing phases.
  • Educate super users and power users on effective tool usage.
  • Coordinate development efforts with offshore teams and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct ongoing monitoring and optimization of tools and systems.
  • Collaborate with the business solutions delivery team to ensure user-friendly solutions.

Collaboration and Teamwork: Work effectively with cross-functional IT teams.

Required Skills:
Proficiency in Data Platforms, BI Data Platform Administration, Power BI, Data Architecture, and Data Modeling.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess extensive experience with various systems and technologies.

We primarily utilize business intelligence tools such as Power BI and Tableau, along with other applications and operating systems including Collibra, Alteryx, Metric Insights, and SQL Server.


  • Proven experience as a system administrator for BI tools.
  • Prior involvement in implementing Power BI solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • A BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Data Scientist experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with R, Python, Jupyter, or similar tools is advantageous.
  • 5 to 7 years of IT experience with a solid understanding of SDLC methodologies.
  • Strong grasp of relational databases and experience with SQL.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing methodologies and dimensional modeling.
  • Experience in writing custom components, such as charting, is a plus.
  • Participation in JAD/RAD/AGILE/Waterfall scrum sessions is beneficial.
  • Ability to swiftly translate requirements into actionable tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, MS Project, Excel, Visio, and other tools that aid in the requirements gathering and design phases of the SDLC.
  • A passion for problem-solving, innovation, and creativity.
  • Self-motivated with strong leadership qualities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Interpersonal Skills: Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills are essential.
