Role Summary

The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Engaging with clients to fully understand their engineering requirements.
  • Modifying orders to align with specific project needs utilizing an ERP system.
  • Analyzing and interpreting technical specifications, sketches, and layout diagrams.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant code authorities to guarantee that supplied products meet necessary standards.
  • Conducting intricate engineering calculations as required.
  • Creating detailed assembly and component drawings essential for manufacturing.
  • Providing troubleshooting support for products and components via phone and email to assist clients in resolving field issues.
  • Guiding and assisting service technicians in the field by dispatching components or sourcing necessary information.
  • Collaborating with various departments as needed.
  • Executing additional tasks as directed by management.
Candidate Profile

We are looking for an individual who possesses:
  • An Associate's Degree in Computer Aided Drafting or a related engineering discipline with a strong focus on design drafting.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of technical experience in a manufacturing or engineering office setting.
  • Expertise in AutoCAD 2010 or later versions.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, with a willingness to learn additional software as necessary.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor is advantageous.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret project specifications, architectural and structural drawings, as well as mechanical parts and assembly drawings.
  • A capacity to absorb detailed information about a wide range of products.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand technical concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational capabilities.
  • Skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects efficiently and accurately.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional proofreading abilities.
  • Independence in work with strong critical thinking skills and minimal supervision.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and clients.
