About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Bakery Manager to join our team at Sprouts Farmers Market. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing and leading our bakery clerks, and assisting the bakery manager in the daily supervision of bakery department operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by ensuring that all bakery products are of high quality and presented in an attractive manner.
  • Bakery Operations: Assist the bakery manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit, including ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the bakery team.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the bakery team to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals, while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels, including ordering and receiving products, to ensure that the bakery department is always stocked with fresh and high-quality products.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Ensure that the bakery department is maintained in a clean and safe manner, adhering to all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and regulations.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 2 years of retail grocery experience and 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
