The Freight Solutions Sales Specialist will be responsible for executing direct sales initiatives aimed at acquiring new clients in both domestic and international freight forwarding sectors. This role involves engaging with potential and existing clients to promote our logistics solutions and services, spearheading business development efforts, and collaborating with project partners to enhance our service offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business prospects within the freight forwarding and logistics industries.
- Advocate for all company offerings related to imports and exports to drive sales growth.
- Achieve and surpass established sales targets and objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and assess client needs.
- Implement effective sales strategies and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Foster strong relationships with clients through effective communication and service delivery, addressing inquiries regarding products, pricing, and terms.
- Provide comprehensive support for sales engagements and ensure timely follow-up.
- Stay informed about industry trends, including competitor activities and market dynamics.
- Collaborate closely with the product and pricing teams to ensure accuracy in quotes and proposals.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in international freight forwarding or logistics sales.
- Experience with a leading global freight forwarding company is preferred.
- A Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field is required.
- In-depth knowledge of the domestic and international transportation landscape, including trucking, rail, air, and ocean freight.
- Demonstrated success in sales, prospecting, and account development.
- Familiarity with digital freight forwarding platforms and processes.
- Ability to cultivate trustworthy relationships with clients at all organizational levels.
- Exceptional presentation and sales skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% within the U.S.
