Summary:

The Biomedical Technician III is a highly skilled professional responsible for managing the service requirements of a diverse range of complex medical devices, interconnected medical systems, and imaging equipment.

This role requires extensive knowledge of operational practices, procedures, and care environment standards to ensure that service is delivered competently and courteously in a safe and reliable manner.

Required Education:

Associate Degree or Equivalent Experience

Related Field - 4 years of experience


Job Responsibilities:
  1. Troubleshoots and inspects diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment.
  2. Provides service support for both standard and complex patient care devices.
  3. Offers technical insights during construction meetings for medical device installation planning.
  4. Manages projects, whether small or large scale, related to medical equipment or networked medical systems.
  5. Utilizes test equipment, hand tools, service manuals, and online documentation proficiently.
  6. Prioritizes tasks based on availability of backups, criticality of service, and customer expectations.
  7. Delivers comprehensive service support with minimal administrative direction.
  8. Designs or modifies device preventive maintenance checklists and schedules to effectively prevent failures while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  9. Documents service activities for assigned areas in the medical equipment database.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.
