Job Summary:

Arkansas Children's Hospital is seeking a Biomedical Technician II to provide biomedical technology support for clinical departments. The successful candidate will maintain therapeutic and diagnostic equipment to ensure the availability of technology to the point of care in a safe and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and inspect diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment

Provide service support for standard and moderately complex patient care equipment

Manage small-scale projects related to medical equipment or networked medical systems

Use test equipment, hand tools, service manuals, and online documentation

Prioritize work according to availability of backups, criticality of service, and customer's expectation

Complete 100% Life Support PMs and a minimum of 95% Non-Life Support PMs assigned monthly

Provide service support that is mostly independent of other Clinical Engineering staff or administrative direction

Requirements:

Associate Degree or Equivalent Experience

2 years of experience in a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in biomedical equipment technology

Experience with medical equipment maintenance and repair
