About the Role

This is a field-based position, covering the territories of Arkansas and Oklahoma. As a Field Engineering Specialist, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing technical repair and installation services for Roche assigned product lines
  • Offering valuable service to laboratory customers in your assigned territory
  • Providing routine technical support, on-site service, repair, and installation of Roche products
  • Serving as a customer contact for technical and service-related issues and performing preventative maintenance
  • Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures
  • Documenting all activities, contributing to quality improvement, and focusing on maximizing customer satisfaction
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of progressive experience repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking OR a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or related field plus 1-2 years of progressive experience repairing or servicing complex mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking
  • Successfully training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy
  • Ability to travel, including some overnight travel, is required
Preferred Qualifications

We're looking for candidates with:

  • 8+ years of progressive experience or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 4+ years of progressive experience
  • Advanced knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, information technology, and basic chemistry
  • The ability to serve as an internal technical resource, provide support after hours and on weekends/holidays, and maintain strong customer relationships
