We are seeking a Sales Account Manager to oversee day-to-day communications and relationships for assigned sales accounts, ensuring targets and strategies set by the Sales Director are achieved.

In this role, you will collaborate with internal teams and customers to maintain high-quality relationships, exceed customer expectations, and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor customer expectations for assigned accounts.
  • Manage all customer information, product details, forecast/demand planning, item transitions, monitoring delivery and order fulfillment for assigned territory and customer base.
  • Ensure customer service needs are met with the goal of generating sales profit/margin, building sales revenue, and increasing customer loyalty to Rockline.
  • Represent Rockline culture and values at trade shows, conferences, etc.
  • Voice customer expectations and align internal teams to provide thought leadership, right product solutions, and extraordinary service.
  • Vet unsolicited incoming calls from potential customers to understand needs and ensure response is provided timely.
  • Support internal and external communications and relationships relevant to assigned customer accounts.
  • Maintain existing customer relationships by assisting Sales Director in defining new opportunities and introducing additional products.
  • Monitor production run against POs, product offerings, and raw material pricing fluctuation monthly by utilizing JDE reporting.
  • Review daily/weekly reports to evaluate POs, inventory, and shipments for accuracy and use the reports as a tool to communicate PO status and inventory updates to the customer.
  • Be able to perform routine problem-solving in day-to-day issues.
  • Work closely with the assigned Rockline Customer Service Representative to ensure assigned customer POs and invoices are properly keyed into JDE.
  • Communicate effectively with internal scheduling on production planning to report out to your assigned customers.
  • Support Quality Assurance with necessary documentation and customer follow up to ensure regulations are followed.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in the field of business, marketing, project management, logistics, supply chain, communications, or other area of study relevant to business development, and minimum of 2 years' experience in sales support/account management or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Ability to leverage and effectively navigate and build internal and external relationships to service the customer.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Customer Service, Sales or Account Management experience required.
  • Able to handle difficult conversations.
