Job Summary

This is a challenging opportunity to lead the Asset Management program for water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, organization, and coordination of asset management activities, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and direct the work of assigned staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects and tasks.
  • Develop and implement asset management policies, procedures, and programs to ensure the optimal use of resources and the maintenance of a high level of customer service.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and prioritize infrastructure needs, and develop and implement plans to address these needs.
  • Manage consultants and contractors, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of asset condition, maintenance history, and other relevant data.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to other departments and stakeholders, and participate in the development of policies and procedures related to asset management.
Requirements
  • Three years of increasingly responsible experience in asset management, with at least one year in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Experience with GIS, CMMS, and database management, as well as knowledge of relevant occupational health and safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of assigned staff, and to communicate effectively with other departments and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze data to identify patterns and make recommendations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with other employees and stakeholders.
