Job Overview

This role is crucial for the effective operation of our retail outlets. Sales associates engage directly with both wholesale and retail clients to assess their requirements, provide answers to inquiries regarding Sherwin-Williams offerings, and suggest suitable solutions. They are also responsible for addressing customer issues promptly to ensure optimal satisfaction, while keeping abreast of product features and maintaining the store's visual and quality standards. Sales associates strive to deliver exceptional customer service while consistently achieving the store's sales objectives.

The selected candidate will be required to fulfill responsibilities at a designated store location. This is a PART TIME position with a starting pay rate of $15 per hour.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality customer service through effective sales techniques
  • Assist customers both in-store and via phone by identifying their needs and recommending suitable products and services
  • Establish and nurture productive relationships with both wholesale and retail clients
  • Accurately process sales transactions in accordance with company policies
  • Meet and exceed sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Maintain organized work order files and product formulas
  • Retrieve products from the sales floor or storage as required
  • Tint and mix products according to customer specifications
  • Restock shelves and create appealing displays
  • Ensure cleanliness of store equipment
  • Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles
  • Support delivery operations as necessary
  • Keep assigned areas well-stocked and visually appealing
  • Stay informed about available products and options
  • Adhere to inventory management protocols
  • Propose strategies to enhance sales performance
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years old
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the country without requiring sponsorship
  • Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be available to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Possession of a valid, unrestricted Driver's License
  • Completion of at least a High School diploma or GED
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service role
  • Prior experience in selling paint and related products
  • Experience operating tinting and mixing machinery
  • Ability to communicate effectively in more than one language
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish
