NICU Level 4 Registered Nurse (RN) Position
At Texas Children's Hospital, we are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our NICU 4 team in North Austin. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care to newborns and their families while working in a fast-paced environment.
Salary: $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience
About the Job:
- Provide age-appropriate nursing care to patients by assessing, planning, educating, implementing, and evaluating care that incorporates family-centered principles and cost-effective strategies.
- Collect and analyze data from medical records to coordinate patient care, identifying actual/potential barriers to learning and utilizing various teaching strategies to overcome them.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to participate in rounds and conferences, executing therapeutic interventions according to established standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or other degree in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement.
- Current licensure with the Board of Nursing for the State of Texas or Nurse Licensure Compact and BLS certification.
- 1 year of professional nursing experience, with previous NICU or ICU experience highly preferred.
- The ability to demonstrate positive and appropriate interpersonal skills, good time and resource management skills, flexibility, strong oral and written communication skills, knowledge of unit-specific equipment, and knowledge of the nursing process, critical thinking skills, PALS, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
