Role Summary:

The Apple Cloud Engineering division is seeking a highly skilled software engineer to integrate and validate software, leading and orchestrating workloads across advanced and energy-efficient systems that will drive the future of data centers.


In this collaborative position, you will play a pivotal role in various initiatives aimed at leveraging hardware acceleration for machine learning and high-performance computing tasks.

You will collaborate with teams throughout Apple to adapt, customize, and scale software on an innovative computing platform, contributing to the foundation of our upcoming cloud architecture.

We are in search of an individual with demonstrated expertise in building and managing scalable, resilient systems.

Your background should reflect a strong combination of education and hands-on experience, coupled with a genuine enthusiasm for tackling complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
You will engage cross-functionally with architecture, platform design, SOC architects, and software teams to automate and validate exceptional hardware, software, and services.

Your responsibilities will include constructing and maintaining the system infrastructure that powers the next generation of data centers. You will ensure high quality and agility through unit tests, integration tests, and performance tests.



You will be tasked with designing, implementing, and driving test plans and test suites based on specification documents.


YOU ARE A GREAT FIT IF:

Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test or Software Quality Engineer
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as C/C++, Golang, Python, or Shell
- Experience with automation and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of microservice architectures and deployment patterns in cloud and/or edge environments
- Familiarity with cloud orchestration tools like Kubernetes, Nomad, Apache Mesos, or similar
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to assess issues, prioritize effectively, and propose solutions
- Experience with Swift, Objective-C, and Apple development tools is a significant advantage
- Passion for software architecture, APIs, and high-performance extensible software
- Creative, collaborative, and product-oriented mindset
- Strong communication skills
Compensation & Benefits:
At Apple, base pay is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package, determined within a specified range. This structure allows for growth as you advance in your role.

The base pay range for this position is between $166,600 and $296,300, with actual pay dependent on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Employees are also eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
