Position Overview
We are currently looking for an ICD Coding Specialist to join our team, primarily working remotely. This role offers a competitive starting salary ranging from $70,000 to $87,500, based on relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities
The ICD Coding Specialist will play a vital role in our Central Office coding team by:

  1. Conducting thorough research and formulating responses to inquiries regarding ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding, ensuring that accurate and meaningful data is reported across all healthcare environments in alignment with established coding standards.
  2. Reviewing and evaluating feedback on coding response drafts to guarantee precision and uniformity in advice, providing objective conclusions based on a solid understanding of research and coding guidelines.
  3. Maintaining and utilizing an internal database of coding responses, accessible through text or numerical searches, to ensure consistency in addressing similar inquiries previously resolved.
  4. Contributing to the quarterly publication, Coding Clinic for ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS, which serves as the official resource for ICD-10 coding questions.
  5. Collaborating with the coding team to identify, investigate, and draft agenda items for the Editorial Advisory Board, which includes clinical research and discussions with specialists to provide comprehensive background information for board discussions.
