About HKS:

HKS is a renowned architecture firm seeking a skilled Project Development Leader to join their Culture team. As a licensed Architect with strong design and technical abilities, you will lead Temple projects in the Salt Lake City area and embody the firm's values and mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead consultants and technical team efforts to deliver high-quality project design and implementation documents.
  • Develop and manage production schedules, ensuring timely completion and meeting deadlines.
  • Prepare, review, and coordinate implementation documents, adhering to QA/QC and HKS standards.
  • Manage technical resolution and coordination for defined project segments.
  • May lead code analysis and verify code and zoning requirements for assigned project segments.
  • Coordinate design group interaction and lead consultant team work sessions.
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, public agencies, consultants, and contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Prepare client presentations and present design concepts and drawings.
  • Assist project designers with materials and systems evaluation to ensure proper selections.
  • Oversee application of products and materials, adhering to best practices.
  • Lead team meetings to discuss project issues and coordination with other disciplines.
  • Document on-site visits, field reviews, and project meetings as necessary.
  • Prepare and/or review meeting minutes for consultant coordination meetings.
  • Invest in staff professional development through mentoring, performance management, and career planning.
  • Develop, recognize, recruit, and grow diverse talent.
  • Resolve conflicts and promote a healthy team environment.
  • Promote the firm's principles of 'design excellence' through responsible and sustainable design practice.
  • Understand fundamental accounting principles and project accounting process.
  • Collaborate in project delivery and maintain accountability to project plan and utilization rate.
  • Understand contracts and recognize additional services needed.
  • Participate in project pursuit and marketing.
  • Support PIC/PM and lead business development process.
Salary Range:$110,000 - $140,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Accredited professional degree in Architecture.
  • Experience working on Temple projects preferred.
  • Architectural Registration required.
  • Typically 8+ years of experience.
  • Sustainable design accreditation preferred.
  • Proficiency in Revit.
  • Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, and 3D modeling software preferred.
  • Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign software preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of sustainability and integrated design guidelines.
  • Advanced knowledge of architectural building systems, accessibility guidelines, and QA/QC process.
  • Advanced knowledge of building codes and ability to research and incorporate into implementation documents.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationships.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and professional manner both verbally and in writing.
