Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator for Large Commercial Construction Projects. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the estimating process, from initial concept to final bid submission, and deliver accurate cost estimates for ground-up commercial construction projects.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the estimating process for large commercial construction projects.
  • Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for ground-up commercial construction projects.
  • Collaborating with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
  • Utilizing advanced software tools such as Revit, Primavera, Destini, and Bluebeam for estimating and project management tasks.
  • Conducting risk analysis to identify potential challenges and developing contingency plans.
  • Reviewing design options and recommending best solutions based on cost, engineering quality, and availability of materials.
  • Participating in the negotiation and awarding of contracts.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing, and construction techniques to ensure competitive bidding.
  • Presenting estimates and conducting bid reviews with senior management.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of estimating processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction, with a focus on large-scale projects.
  • Proven track record in project estimating, with experience in hard-bid, design-build, and conceptual estimating.
  • Exceptional knowledge of construction methods, materials, systems, and market trends.
  • Proficiency in estimating and project management software, including Revit, Primavera, Destini, and Bluebeam.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex information and deliver accurate estimates.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with a proven ability to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional Estimator Certification (e.g., CPE, PMP) is a plus.

We estimate the salary range for this position to be between $100,000 and $150,000 per year, based on national averages and industry standards.
