Cardiac Rhythm Monitoring Specialist

The Cardiac Rhythm Monitoring Specialist is responsible for the ongoing observation of cardiac patterns, which includes performing arrhythmia assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and document cardiac rhythms in accordance with established patient care protocols and quality assurance standards.
- Maintain communication with nursing teams regarding patient rhythm status and any changes.
- Address telemetry equipment requirements, issues, and concerns with nursing units.
- Conduct troubleshooting of telemetry devices within the nursing environment.
- Engage in the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) process.
- Monitor pulse oximetry and other relevant metrics.

Responsibilities
- Adhere to national professional and regulatory guidelines in patient care practices.
- Collaborate closely with nursing units monitoring patients through remote telemetry.
- Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms for all patients assigned to remote telemetry.
- Perform arrhythmia analysis for patients under remote telemetry supervision.
- Conduct systematic reviews of alarm histories and analyze 24-hour data for irregularities.
- Ensure prompt communication with nursing units regarding any changes in patient rhythm status and telemetry equipment needs.
- Troubleshoot any connectivity issues within the nursing units.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a Cardiovascular Technical Program or equivalent.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Advanced knowledge of ECG interpretation, validated by an advanced arrhythmia examination.
- Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
- Understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and abnormal rhythms.
- Basic Life Support Certification.
- Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication.
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with continuous quality improvement processes.
- Experience in remote telemetry or cardiac monitoring.
Work Schedule
This position requires a commitment of 36 hours per week, with night shifts.
