This position focuses on Electrophysiology and plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding care to patients experiencing cardiac rhythm disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care:
    • Perform thorough assessments of both new and returning patients with arrhythmias in various settings.
    • Collaborate with Electrophysiologists to create and execute treatment strategies, including medication management, cardiac ablation, and management of cardiac implanted electronic devices (CIEDs).
    • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing electrophysiology interventions.
    • Monitor patient progress and reactions to treatments.
    • Educate patients regarding their conditions, available treatment options, and self-care techniques.
  • Procedures:
    • Engage in electrophysiology studies and ablation procedures as allowed by state regulations and institutional guidelines.
    • Assist in the implantation and interrogation of devices.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work collaboratively with Cardiologists, Electrophysiologists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care.
    • Communicate effectively with patients and their families.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain precise and comprehensive medical records.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies.
  • National certification as a Physician Assistant.
  • Valid State of Michigan License.
  • Experience in Cardiology is required; experience in Electrophysiology is highly preferred.
  • Strong clinical understanding of cardiac arrhythmias.
  • Exceptional assessment, diagnostic, and treatment capabilities.
