Physician Assistant or Acute Care Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner

UPMC Passavant - McCandless is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Acute Care Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to join our Pulmonary Partners department. As a member of our care delivery team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing inpatient consults and follow-ups, as well as supporting our inpatient intensivist team at Passavant McCandless. This is a fast-paced pulmonary practice with a comprehensive range of medical services offered by our hospital.
Responsibilities:- Provide patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with all team members.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians, other healthcare providers, patients, and their families to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care.
- Contribute to UPMC's mission of Life Changing Medicine by setting the standards for the level and quality of care for the care delivery team.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the community and to your healthcare profession by providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team.
- A graduate of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the physician assistant (ARC-PA) is required.
- Current state PA license certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- Act 34 Clearance required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) OR Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification is required.
