Physician Assistant or Acute Care Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner

UPMC Life Changing Medicine is seeking a full-time night Physician Assistant or Acute Care Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to support our Stroke Department at UPMC Mercy. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of Life Changing Medicine.
Responsibilities:- Provide patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with all team members.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians, other healthcare providers, patients, and their families to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of patient care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- A graduate of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the physician assistant (ARC-PA) is required.
- Current state PA license certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- Act 34 Clearance required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) OR Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification is required.
