Role Summary

The Financial Controller is tasked with managing all facets of the organization's financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes. This role guarantees the precision of financial documents, adherence to financial laws, and the establishment of internal controls. The Controller will guide the finance team, offering strategic financial insights to upper management and aiding in the company's long-term financial strategy while embodying the core values of Total Comfort Service Center Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Supervise the creation and accuracy of financial documents, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
    • Ensure compliance with financial standards and regulations.
    • Deliver financial presentations to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations based on thorough data analysis.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Lead the annual budgeting initiative, collaborating with department leaders to establish financial objectives.
    • Formulate financial forecasts to anticipate future performance and make strategic recommendations to maintain the organization's financial stability.
  • Internal Controls:
    • Develop and uphold strong internal controls to protect the organization's assets.
    • Oversee compliance with financial policies and procedures, ensuring accuracy and transparency in all transactions.
  • Cash Flow Management:
    • Manage cash flow to ensure the organization maintains adequate liquidity for its obligations.
    • Devise strategies to enhance working capital and improve cash flow efficiency.
  • Tax Compliance:
    • Guarantee timely and accurate tax filings, minimizing risks and penalties.
    • Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants to navigate complex tax regulations and optimize tax strategies.
  • Cost Management:
    • Monitor and manage organizational expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency enhancements.
    • Analyze discrepancies between actual and budgeted expenses, providing detailed explanations and recommendations for corrective measures.
  • Financial Analysis:
    • Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to support business decisions, delivering actionable insights to senior management.
    • Perform profitability assessments, cost-benefit analyses, and other financial evaluations to inform strategic planning.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
    • Ensure team members receive adequate training and opportunities for advancement within the department.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Work with the executive team on long-term financial planning, contributing to the formulation and execution of business strategies.
    • Provide financial insights that inform strategic decision-making and align with the organization's objectives.
  • External Relationships:
    • Engage with external auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies, maintaining strong professional relationships.
    • Manage relationships with service vendors, ensuring alignment with the organization's needs.
    • Facilitate clear communication with stakeholders, including investors and regulatory authorities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated success in a leadership role, preferably as a Controller or Senior Accountant.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP.

Work-Life Balance

We promote a healthy work-life balance. Local travel will be required using your own vehicle, along with occasional out-of-town travel for meetings and training. Travel expenses will be reimbursed. Safety measures will be adhered to when working outside the office environment.
