Overview

We are excited to present an opportunity for a Controller position within a private equity-backed organization. This role offers a unique chance to engage directly with executive leadership in a vibrant and evolving business environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the month-end closing procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Guarantee compliance with GAAP for all financial statements.
  • Manage the coordination of audits and annual tax processes.
  • Establish and maintain robust internal financial controls and documentation practices.
  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and ongoing financial forecasts.
  • Generate comprehensive financial statements, reports, and analyses for senior management.
  • Conduct in-depth revenue, cost, and profit analysis, providing insightful projections.
  • Develop and implement tools and systems for effective financial and operational analysis, along with actionable insights.
  • Oversee liquidity management, including accounts receivable, payables, and cash flow.
  • Maintain strong relationships with banking partners.
  • Guide long-term budget planning and cost management in alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Direct the formulation and execution of strategic business and operational plans.
  • Offer proactive solutions and strategic advice to the CEO.
  • Engage in strategic planning as a vital member of the senior management team.
  • Encourage collaboration among senior leaders to ensure alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Work closely with the CEO on operational and strategic matters, providing well-informed recommendations.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree; CPA designation is preferred, along with 7 to 10 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in Percentage of Completion (POC) Accounting for long-term contracts is essential, with a preference for experience in manufacturing or construction sectors.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks Desktop and Online is highly desirable.
  • Strong background in manufacturing and job costing is required.
  • Experience in cash management practices is essential.
  • Expertise in standard costing and variance analysis is necessary.
  • Experience in implementing and managing IT systems is a plus.
