Job Summary:

Spurwink is seeking a collaborative and driven Registered Nurse (RN) to join our interdisciplinary team serving adults with serious mental illness and substance use disorders in the Lewiston area.

The RN will work across programs to address primary prevention, health promotion, and population health by providing nursing consultation, interpreting health data, and integrating health and wellness goals into client treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care that focuses on community outreach, community integration, education, and time-limited patient-centered care.
  • Improve communication and collaboration with all care providers across the healthcare spectrum.
  • Work with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, serious emotional disturbance, and developmental disabilities.

Requirements:

  • Three years of post-licensure experience in community health nursing, family nursing, pediatric nursing, hospital, or psychiatric nursing.
  • Ability to exercise professional judgment, communicate effectively, and navigate an electronic medical health record.
  • Knowledge of psychosocial, mental health, and vocational assessments, counseling theory, and physical and psychological effects of mental illness and substance abuse.
