Job Summary:

The Behavioral Services Technician is a vital member of the patient care team, responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care under the direction of the registered nurse. This role is essential in ensuring the well-being and comfort of patients during their stay.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including vital sign monitoring and basic care tasks.
  • Assist with patient transfers and mobility, ensuring safe and efficient movement.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized patient care plans.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Maine CNA Certification preferred.
  • Basic Life Support certification required.
  • 1 year of experience in Behavioral Health Services.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • College training in mental health technology, behavioral science, social work, or rehabilitation therapy.
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred at hire or obtained before completion of orientation.
