Position Overview:

The Finance Manager is crucial in safeguarding the fiscal integrity and regulatory adherence of Transpire Bio. This position encompasses the supervision of financial governance and reporting, alongside managing commercial functions across diverse sectors, spearheading budget management for projects, and facilitating Tax Compliance and Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Regulatory Compliance and Internal Controls:
  • Establish and uphold comprehensive financial controls and processes to guarantee adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with operational and legal teams to evaluate the financial and tax consequences of business dealings, contracts, and other initiatives.
  • Assist in the formulation and execution of transfer pricing policies and documentation to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate with internal and external tax consultants to oversee tax planning, compliance, and reporting, while monitoring tax credits, incentives, and deductions.

Commercial Financial Oversight:

  • Engage with business units to assess financial performance and pinpoint opportunities for enhancement and growth.
  • Create financial models and forecasts to aid strategic decision-making in commercial operations.
  • Monitor and assess commercial initiatives, offering insights and recommendations to enhance profitability and market reach.

Project Budget Oversight:

  • Lead the formulation and management of project budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and resource distribution.
  • Track project expenditures and analyze discrepancies to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency enhancement.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on project financial performance to relevant stakeholders.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analyses, including variance and trend analyses, to support decision-making and business planning.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
  • Interpret financial data and convey findings to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management, ideally within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors.
  • Strong grasp of financial principles, regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Proven ability to manage commercial activities and stimulate business growth.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting methodologies.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of collaborating across various functions and organizational levels.
  • Strategic mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
