Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance on various building automation systems.
  • Oversee technical startup, checkout, and commissioning of automation systems.
  • Diagnose and repair issues during service calls for building automation systems.
  • Provide remote assistance to clients utilizing building automation systems.
  • Manage and track preventative maintenance hours for assigned contracts.
  • Document service ticket reports for all maintenance accounts and time and materials projects.
  • Collaborate with the Service Team Lead for additional work proposals.
  • Record maintenance activities through the building automation system.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding completed tasks and time spent.
  • Obtain necessary service ticket approvals from clients.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and maintain compliance documentation.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Preferred experience in controls service.
  • Mechanical service experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in service estimation is a plus.
  • Strong customer relations and communication skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with Automated Logic, Tridium, Honeywell, Trane, JCI, and other control systems is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and high standards of quality are required.
  • Ability to efficiently manage scheduling and commitments for multiple clients.
  • Flexibility to support various locations as needed.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in the controls or mechanical industry.
  • Technical degree or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Understanding of the controls service industry and contract documentation.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
