Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance on diverse building automation systems.
  • Execute technical startup, checkout, and commissioning processes for building automation systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and replacements for building automation systems during service calls.
  • Offer remote assistance to clients utilizing building automation services.
  • Oversee estimated preventative maintenance hours for designated contracts.
  • Complete service ticket documentation for all preventative maintenance accounts and time & materials projects.
  • Collaborate with the Service Team Lead regarding proposals or additional work requirements.
  • Document maintenance activities through the building automation system.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding completed tasks and time spent.
  • Obtain necessary service ticket approvals.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and maintain compliance documentation.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily. The following qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience in controls service is advantageous.
  • Background in mechanical service is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with service estimation is preferred.
  • Strong customer relations and communication skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of control systems such as Automated Logic, Tridium, Honeywell, Trane, and JCI is preferred.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented individuals who can thrive in a fast-paced environment are ideal.
  • Attention to detail and high-quality standards are necessary.
  • Ability to efficiently manage scheduling and commitments for multiple clients.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in the controls or mechanical industry.
  • A MET Technical Degree, MES Journeyman certification, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Understanding of the controls service industry and contract documentation is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines is beneficial.
