Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance on diverse building automation systems.
  • Execute technical startup, checkout, and commissioning of automation systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues during service calls, including repairs and replacements of automation systems.
  • Offer remote assistance to clients utilizing building automation technologies.
  • Oversee the allocation of preventative maintenance hours for designated contracts.
  • Document service ticket reports for all maintenance accounts and time & materials projects.
  • Collaborate with the Service Team Lead for additional proposals or work requirements.
  • Record maintenance activities through the building automation system.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding completed tasks and time spent.
  • Obtain necessary service ticket approvals from clients.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and maintain compliance documentation.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to fulfill the essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are essential:

  • Experience in controls service is preferred.
  • Background in mechanical service is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with service estimation is a plus.
  • Strong customer relations and communication skills are required.
  • Knowledge of control systems such as Automated Logic, Tridium, Honeywell, Trane, and JCI is preferred.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and high standards of quality are essential.
  • Efficient in scheduling and managing commitments for multiple clients.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in the controls or mechanical industry.
  • Technical degree or equivalent qualifications are preferred.
  • Understanding of the controls service industry and contract documentation is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations is an asset.
