Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to join our National Automation Support Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper installation and commissioning of automation systems, as well as providing technical support and training to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend project turnover meetings with project management teams to ensure a smooth transition of automation systems.
  • Verify proper installation of automation systems, including device locations, mounting, wiring, wire tagging, and device and panel labeling.
  • Perform point checkout to verify inputs for setup, scaling, and calibration, as well as verify outputs operate at multiple levels and for multiple cycles.
  • Check consistency of automation systems, including drawings, database, and graphics.
  • Commission DDC systems to meet sequence of operation and specification requirements, including testing sequence of operations, tuning PIDs, verifying graphics/links, and verifying trending, reports, and alarming setup.
  • Provide redline markups on drawings for as-built changes and modify logic block programs as required.
  • Modify user graphics as required and document all commissioning activities and complete pre-functional and functional test forms as required.
  • Follow all site safety requirements and attend project meetings as required.
  • Maintain customer relations to ensure satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related engineering or technology field.
  • In lieu of a degree, candidates with 2 years of relevant experience will be considered.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to use a multi-meter to read voltages and troubleshoot low voltage circuits.
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
Preferred Candidate Will Possess
  • Experience in engineering design or maintenance of HVAC systems.
  • DDC or PLC troubleshooting or programming experience.
  • Working knowledge of building automation, mechanical, and electrical systems.
