Job Overview:

Actalent is currently seeking a dedicated Mechanical Project Engineer to take on the role of Integrated Product Team (IPT) leader. This position involves managing a diverse team of professionals, including Analysts, Designers, Technicians, Quality Engineers, and Supply Chain experts, to drive mechanical product design and development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the integrated product team in the successful development of innovative products.
  • Engage with clients on technical matters and project management issues.
  • Draft and review component specifications, test plans, and test reports.
  • Oversee mechanical testing activities, ensuring proper setup and execution.
  • Facilitate team-level Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes to troubleshoot mechanical products, including hydromechanical controls and thermal systems.
  • Monitor project schedules and budgets, communicating potential risks to management.
  • Ensure compliance with new product development procedures and document continuous improvement recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Operations to align engineered products with financial goals through acceptance tests and Design to Cost (DTC) strategies.
  • Identify and implement enhancements for both new and existing products.
  • Manage multiple tasks and cross-functional activities to achieve critical project milestones.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

Qualifications:

Hard Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or Mechanical Engineering Technology (BSMET).
  • Proven experience in leading projects.
