Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital. As a Senior Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in providing day-to-day comprehensive pharmacy services, including controlled substance management, chemotherapy compounding, and unit dose dispensing technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with data collection and training new employees, residents, and interns
  • Perform advanced technician services to ensure efficient and safe medication distribution
  • Contribute to the optimization of pharmacy operations and workflow
  • Participate in quality improvement and productivity projects to optimize patient safety
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to resolve problems and achieve patient-specific goals
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent education
  • Two years of pharmacy technician experience, preferably in a hospital setting
  • LPHT or RPI licensure, and IV certification (if applicable)
  • Strong interpersonal and team player skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
