In accordance with the medical protocols set forth by the Association and the Chief Medical Officer of Concentra, and in collaboration with fellow clinicians at the center, the Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant will oversee primary medical direction and coordination of professional healthcare within the occupational health program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient examinations and compile comprehensive medical data.
  • Order or administer diagnostic tests, including x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory assessments.
  • Gather patient medical history and results from physical examinations.
  • Analyze diagnostic test outcomes for any abnormalities.
  • Execute therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing, and wound care.
  • Educate and guide patients on adherence to prescribed treatment plans and health maintenance.
  • Formulate and implement patient management strategies, document progress, and support continuity of care.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of policies impacting medical practice and quality of occupational health services.
  • Aid in the creation and delivery of educational programs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all patients, clients, and colleagues while embodying the values of Concentra.
  • Strive to exceed patient and customer expectations as measured by feedback metrics.
  • Ensure precision in task execution and conduct quality assurance checks.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation of medical results and paperwork.
  • Deliver a compassionate and welcoming patient experience, regardless of the volume of patients.
  • Manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adapt to evolving business needs, including scheduling changes and additional shifts as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant health field from an accredited institution.
  • Compliance with state licensure requirements.
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Board Certification is mandatory.
  • Experience in Occupational Medicine is preferred, though we are open to training qualified candidates.
  • FMCSA NRCME DOT certification can be obtained during the credentialing process.
  • DEA certification is required prior to commencement of employment.
Experience

  • Typically requires at least one year of proven experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, or emergency settings.

  • Knowledge of occupational medicine requirements specific to the state.
  • Familiarity with clinical operations and relevant laws governing rehabilitation services.
  • Understanding of worker's compensation processes and clinical procedures to ensure quality care delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Willingness to engage in Continuing Medical Education opportunities.
