This role is governed by the medical protocols established by the Association and the Chief Medical Officer of Concentra, in collaboration with other assigned clinicians.

The Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant will oversee primary medical direction and coordination of professional healthcare within the occupational health program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient examinations and compile medical data and examination results.
  • Order or administer diagnostic tests, including x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory tests.
  • Gather patient medical information, including health history and physical examination results.
  • Analyze diagnostic test outcomes for abnormalities.
  • Execute therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
  • Educate and counsel patients on adherence to prescribed treatment plans and health maintenance.
  • Develop and implement patient management strategies, document progress notes, and support continuity of care.
  • Contribute to the formulation, implementation, and revision of policies affecting medical practice and quality of occupational healthcare.
  • Assist in creating and delivering educational and instructional programs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all patients, clients, and colleagues while embodying our core values.
  • Strive to exceed patient and customer expectations as measured by various performance metrics.
  • Ensure precision in task execution and conduct quality assurance checks.
  • Maintain accurate, concise, timely, and complete documentation of results and paperwork.

  • Adapt to evolving business needs, including scheduling and working additional or different shifts as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant health field from an accredited institution.
  • Compliance with licensure requirements of the state of jurisdiction.
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Board Certification.
  • Experience in Occupational Medicine is preferred, but we are open to training qualified candidates in this specialty.
  • FMCSA NRCME DOT certification can be obtained during the credentialing process.
  • DEA certification required prior to employment commencement.
Job-Related Experience

  • Typically requires at least one year of demonstrated experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, or emergency settings.

  • Understanding of workers' compensation and clinical procedures involved in delivering quality care.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to engage in Continuing Medical Education.
