Overview:

We are seeking a skilled engineering leader to provide strategic direction and technical expertise to our Advanced Manufacturing team. This role involves cultivating a high-performing group of engineers specializing in industrial, tooling, mechanical design, and control systems, all aimed at enhancing production efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the project activities of Advanced Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians.
  • Manage the design and development of manual, semi-automated, and automated machinery and tooling.
  • Guide the team in assessing current processes and optimizing systems to reduce costs and improve sustainability.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide insights on machine design and tooling during new business opportunities.
  • Facilitate the integration of new technologies and machinery to ensure seamless production operations.
  • Evaluate proposals for new equipment and process enhancements, ensuring that potential benefits justify investments.
  • Prepare and submit feasible proposals to management for funding consideration.
  • Direct and coordinate activities related to the design, maintenance, and modification of equipment and tools.
  • Establish and implement monitoring methods for project progress, including expenditure records and status reports.
  • Track team performance metrics and recommend adjustments to align with business objectives.
  • Adhere to the Brentwood Quality Management System in all work activities.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience (10+ years in a related field).
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in the manufacturing sector, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or project management role.
  • Deep understanding of industrial machine and process design, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Proficient in Solidworks, Creo, and PLC/PC-based control systems.
  • Experience leading large-scale capital projects (over $1 million); PMP certification is preferred.
  • Commitment to developing team members' skills in alignment with individual and team goals.
  • Ability to apply best practices and analytical tools to drive business success.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
