Role Overview:

The EV Charging Solutions Specialist will play a crucial role in identifying and addressing charger-related issues for our commercial clientele and Model e Dealers. This position encompasses all varieties of EVSE equipment, including AC Level 2 and DC fast chargers. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a diverse array of teams within Ford Pro, including support services, product engineering, Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), and vehicle engineering. This role demands strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage product expertise, charger analytics, and vehicle data to assist in diagnosing Ford Pro Charging systems.
  • Conduct daily diagnostic discussions to evaluate and prioritize complex cases.
  • Track and facilitate the resolution of unidentified issues to swiftly address customer needs.
  • Collaborate with L1 (call center), L2 support, and colleagues to expedite issue resolution.
  • Partner with software, hardware, and other teams to develop effective diagnostic protocols that can be automated and scaled efficiently.
  • Address concerns in accordance with established service level agreements to ensure top-tier service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, automotive technology, computer science, mechanical engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in EVSE or vehicle diagnostics with a solid technical foundation.
  • At least 3 years of experience with EVSE installations, as well as electrical and automotive diagnostic methodologies.
  • Over 2 years of experience in customer support and service operations, including case management systems.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately 20-25%) within the US and Canada.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of vehicle electrification and charging technologies.
  • Familiarity with various standards and protocols such as J1772, CCS, NACS/J3400, and OCPP.
  • Comfort in a dynamic environment focused on rapidly evolving products.
  • A data-driven mindset for decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Experience with Salesforce, SharePoint, Jira, or similar software tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to think quickly, prioritize tasks, and monitor progress effectively.
  • Competence in reading and interpreting fault logs (vehicle and/or software).
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to comprehend and convey technical requirements.

This position falls within salary grades 7-8.
