Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MEP Project Manager to join our team at STO Building Group. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the coordination and execution of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems on commercial and institutional projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Manage and coordinate MEP activities, including schedules, spending, and related items to ensure timely and quality completion of assigned MEP trades.
  • Subcontractor Management: Monitor and manage subcontractor performance, including procurement of MEP materials, review of subcontractor and vendor invoices, and approval of payment or negotiation of changes.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with architects, engineers, clients, building representatives, and subcontractors on the project team.
  • Quality Control: Execute quality control inspections, issue deficiency notices, and maintain and track items to closure.
  • Commissioning and Start-up: Develop and coordinate with subcontractor(s) and owner and owner's commissioning agent a plan to start up and commission the MEP systems prior to substantial completion of the project.
  • RFI and Permit Management: Review subcontractor RFI's, answer questions if possible, or issue to the Design Team as a formal RFI. Follow up on trade permits and special inspections as required.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of commercial general contractor project management experience, with a focus on MEP systems. Healthcare sector experience required.
  • Skills: Strong supervisory responsibility, well-developed communications, decision-making, financial analysis, interpersonal, organizational, and team work skills. Strong ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with clients and architects.
