Position Overview:

The Catering Operations Supervisor oversees the entire catering services within one of our establishments.

This role encompasses responsibilities such as managing catering orders, scheduling delivery personnel, overseeing food production and preparation, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the catering division.

The Catering Operations Supervisor engages with external clients and maintains direct communication with guests on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Catering Operations Supervisor, you will lead the preparation, presentation, and service of our exceptional culinary offerings. This position requires close collaboration with catering and retail staff, as well as restaurant management.

Essential Duties:

  • Processes and adjusts orders via phone using the POS system
  • Inputs online orders into the POS system
  • Addresses customer inquiries with managerial consent
  • Assigns delivery tasks to catering staff
  • Initiates and completes food preparation and baking tasks
  • Arranges catering items in baskets, trays, and bowls
  • Conducts deliveries, either by vehicle or on foot
  • Handles breakfast and lunch preparation
  • Manages cleaning responsibilities
  • Disposes of trash as needed
  • Distributes tips to staff on a daily basis
  • Implements Catering Sales strategies as required, including but not limited to:
Regular follow-ups with customers
Menu distribution
Coordination and execution of community events
Menu presentations and tastings
Identifying potential sales leads through proactive outreach
Additional Responsibilities: Includes Expo Duties, Cashier, Dishwasher, and Line Cook tasks.

Highlighted Tasks:

  • Maintains well-stocked front-of-house displays and condiment stations
  • Inspects restroom facilities
  • Cleans and resets tables
  • Prepares food according to specifications and customer requests
  • Ensures accurate cash handling and financial transaction integrity
  • Prepares and organizes food for guest delivery

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, or currently pursuing completion
  • Must complete CBC driver training, pass a Motor Vehicle Record check per CBC standards, and maintain a valid driver's license with insurance
  • State Foodhandler card/ServSafe certification as applicable
  • Preferred minimum of 3 months experience in a customer service role, ideally in a restaurant or retail setting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and POS systems
  • Strong guest service and communication skills required
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) are essential
