Position Overview: John Evans Recruiting is facilitating a confidential search for a Production Manager for a prominent food processing company located in the Baltimore region. This esteemed client has a long-standing history in the industry, catering to a variety of notable clients.

Key Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the processing, packaging, and distribution of both fresh and frozen food products that are sourced globally.

The Production Manager will lead a team of approximately 80 employees across three shifts, which commence at 10 PM, 3 AM, and 6:30 AM, with assistance from 2-3 Supervisors. The core working hours for the Production Manager will be from 7 AM to 3 PM, although presence in the facility during overnight hours will be necessary as required. Weekend work may also be part of the role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Over 10 years of experience in operations management
  • A minimum of 5 years in high-volume food and/or beverage processing
  • Demonstrated success in leading large teams within the manufacturing sector
  • Expertise in process enhancement and analytical methodologies
  • A strong sense of urgency and commitment to operational excellence
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is advantageous
  • Capability to work in a cold and wet production environment while on your feet
