Position Summary:

The Buyer will manage the procurement of Glass and Bar Top packaging materials within the Procurement department. The ideal candidate will be proactive, motivated, and possess a strong sense of urgency. A thorough understanding of supply chain dynamics, category management, international procurement, and supplier relationship management is essential. This role involves ensuring the acquisition of materials in a cost-effective manner while enhancing internal and external processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials within managed categories.
  • Verify receipt of all relevant documentation from partners within 24 hours.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with suppliers to maximize value.
  • Manage supplier performance through a structured review process.
  • Drive cost savings through operational efficiencies and regular pricing evaluations.
  • Provide monthly forecasts to suppliers.
  • Collaborate with production teams to prevent bottlenecks.
  • Lead category management initiatives to optimize purchasing strategies.
  • Oversee the management of excess materials.
  • Ensure purchases align with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Monitor potential risks and opportunities for the organization.
  • Conduct cost analysis and review reduction activities with stakeholders.
  • Prepare necessary reports and updates.
  • Review and approve invoicing and bills of lading prior to payment.
  • Address any issues related to pricing, quality, delivery, or invoicing with suppliers.

Required Skills:

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Experience in the consumer goods or beverage manufacturing sector.
  • Experience with indirect spend categories.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple critical projects.
  • Strong proficiency in analytical tools, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
