Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled analyst to become a vital part of our Investor Relations (IR) team. The IR team collaborates closely with various departments within the organization to effectively manage the firm's communication with key stakeholders. These stakeholders include investors, equity research analysts, and media representatives. As a prominent publicly traded entity, the IR function is essential for maintaining Annaly's reputation as a leading diversified capital manager in the Mortgage REIT sector, as well as conveying our current and future business strategies. This role will involve engaging with external audiences as well as internal partners, including senior leadership, the Operating Committee, the Board of Directors, and investment teams to influence business strategy, operations, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate communication strategies targeted at significant audiences such as Investors, Media, and Analysts.
  • Track and report on industry benchmarks and market performance relevant to Annaly and its peers.
  • Assist in investor targeting, monitoring, and analytical efforts.
  • Serve as a liaison among IR, Legal, Strategy, Finance, Capital Markets, and Corporate Responsibility & Government Relations for analysis intended for Senior Management.
  • Conduct ad hoc research and analysis to support the creation of quarterly earnings press releases, investor presentations, conference call scripts, and Q&A materials.
  • Contribute to the development of materials including:
    • Investor presentations
    • Press releases
    • Strategic IR initiatives
    • Marketing collateral
    • Annual Reports and Proxy statements
    • Website and social media content
    • Internal briefing documents
  • Assist in organizing:
    • Conferences
    • Roadshows
    • Meetings with Analysts and Investors
    • Website and Media content
Qualifications

Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an investment firm, ideally with a focus on capital markets, investor relations, trading, investment management, or investment banking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is essential.

  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both internal and external audiences.
  • Outstanding organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Willingness to work in New York, NY, with a requirement of being in the office four days a week.
  • Must be prepared to undergo a background check.
  • Unrestricted work authorization to operate in the United States is required.
  • Availability to work additional hours as necessary to meet project deadlines.
The salary range for this position is expected to be between $120,000 and $140,000 annually; however, the actual base salary may vary based on individual factors such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional elements such as a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards, along with a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and other benefits, including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits.
